On January 22, 2026, Our CEO and Founder, Dr. Khulud Khudur, had the distinct honor of returning to Penn State University as a panelist for the PhD Transition Panel: Focus on Consulting, Pharma, Nonprofits & Manufacturing. This moment held deep personal and professional significance. Penn State University is where Dr. Khudur’s academic journey began—where intellectual curiosity was nurtured and the foundation for a lifelong commitment to leadership, public health, and service was built.

Returning to Penn State University in this capacity marked a powerful full-circle moment. Our CEO and Founder, Dr. Khulud Khudur, joined the panel not as a student, but as a subject-matter expert and alumna invited to share lived experience, professional insight, and guidance with doctoral and postdoctoral scholars exploring careers beyond academia. Standing once again in a space that shaped her formative years—now with four academic degrees and extensive leadership experience—was both humbling and affirming.

The panel offered an intentional and candid forum for discussing career pathways across consulting, pharmaceutical research, nonprofit and foundation leadership, and manufacturing. Dr. Khulud Khudur and fellow panelists engaged in open dialogue about career transitions, decision-making, and redefining success outside traditional academic trajectories. The honesty and generosity of the conversation provided doctoral and postdoctoral scholars at Penn State University with practical insight and encouragement as they navigate complex professional landscapes.

Our CEO and Founder, Dr. Khulud Khudur, extends sincere gratitude to Dr. Jennifer Nicholas, PhD, Director of Postdoctoral Affairs in the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research at Penn State Research, for her leadership and for creating intentional space for these critical conversations. Her commitment to supporting postdoctoral scholars was evident throughout the event.

It was an honor to participate alongside an exceptional group of Penn State University alumni panelists representing leading organizations across industry and consulting. Each panelist brought a unique perspective while reinforcing a shared commitment to impact, mentorship, and excellence.

Dr. Khulud Khudur is deeply thankful to everyone who joined the panel and contributed thoughtful questions and reflections. Experiences like this reinforce her ongoing commitment—both personally and through Dr. Khulud Khudur LLC—to mentorship, knowledge-sharing, and lifting as she climbs.

Grateful for the journey. Honored by the moment. Always committed to giving back to the Penn State University community and supporting the next generation of leaders.
